So, I'm double checking my listings to see exactly when ET is on tonight so I can set the VCR. (Doing dinner with mom as a late Mother's Day thing)
First off, can I just say "dear person that designs the TV station's website: How about NOT hiding the listings?"
Anyway, I find it and all that jazz and HOLY CRAP! Even bigger than Matrix Trailers and Amazing Races, not to mention Sole Survivors...this Saturday, 9 pm...CBS proudly brings you....
I wonder if that's like eXtreme Manilow?
"Well, Todd...Barry's gonna go for a 360 fakey on this next verse of "Mandy" on the half-pipe with a gnarly grind on the last chorus.....Oh! Manilow chokes! That's gotta hurt!"
good thing i'm outta beer, or that manilow thingy woulda had it coming outta my nose.
Posted by: kd on May 16, 2002 01:16 AMNothing to do with Manilow -- the new _Matrix_ trailer is out in QuickTime at

Looks like Keanu's riding a Ducati 998 . . . :)
Posted by: Craig on May 16, 2002 06:02 AMWait a minute, where's that V-Rod?!
Posted by: Lori on May 16, 2002 07:35 AMThx, Craiggums. I just have dial-up, and for some reason the damn thing wasn't caching in my temp file. I got the first half of it (which is how I got the frame above) but I think there was too much traffic last night for my little modem to fight with. I'm going to try again tonight to get the whole trailer downloaded. So I can watch it over and over and over...sigh.
That had to be the V-Rod he was riding didn't it?
It
Wait -- what V-ROD? Is there supposed to be a V-ROD in the _Matrix_ movies? I love 'em -- my next bike is going to be a cruiser, and I'm seriously considering a V-ROD.
But in the trailer, about 2/3 - 3/4 way in, they're a real quick 3 frames worth of Keanu zipping down the highway on a Ducati 998 -- I stopped the playback and single-framed it to be sure. If you're curious, check out

The Ducati site doesn't seem to have any good rear views, but in the _Matrix_ trailer, you can see the distinctive dual exhaust / muffler system that hugs right up underneath the seat. Also -- note that the bike has a single swing-arm mounted rear wheel (that is, the rear wheel is only attached on one side), another distinctive Ducati 998 touch. Oh -- and also the bike's fairing has the word "Ducati" on it :)
If there's also a V-ROD in there somewhere, well -- "Bonus!"
Posted by: Craig (motorcycle nerd) on May 16, 2002 04:19 PMCraig, here's the link to thematrixonline.com article about the V-Rod.

Oh, by the way, if you get a V-Rod? I wanna ride.
Posted by: krix on May 16, 2002 04:50 PMThanks Krix! I did some Googling myself -- something about the V-ROD in the movie _flies_?
Could be fun.
And Krix darlin', if I get a V-ROD, for sure you'll get a ride!
Posted by: Craig (motorcycle nerd) on May 16, 2002 08:32 PMCraig, I wanna buy my own V-ROD and go riding with you when you take krix out! Or you could just give me a ride, too!
