And, another thing, isn't there a law against selling another person's check?????

Posted by: Ann on June 4, 2002 08:38 AMcan you make out the name in the memo line? he may have been bailing out a friend - and the check was cashed, you can see the bank stamps. $1K would be the fee for a $10K bail bond - probably a minor felony there, that's *way* more than a DUI bail bond would be.

Premium $810.00 & Coll. $190.00
Def 8 XxxxxxX
I would say that the Premium is the actual bail amount, and the Collection is the amount that the bondsman is charging for services. And it looks like Defendant #8, old XxxxxxxX, is the guy being bailed out. Perhaps a pal of Keanu's. Either that or XxxxxxX is an attorney in charge of Defendant #8, who might be Keanu himself...
Having done a Google search, I uncovered the fact that XxxxX has been in a couple of movies, right around that time - '92-'93. More than that I could not ascertain. So either XxxxxX was an actor friend of Keanu's, or as I said, an attorney who tried a little acting (not unheard of - witness the career of Ben Stein)...
Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong...
