First off, if anyone who reads here actually knows Mr. Reeves, please please please, let him know about William Gibson's blog .
Send him the link, or print it out if you have to.
The most recent entry is a must read for the first part alone, but Mr. Gibson also also responds to a thread about The Matrix on his board.
"When I began to write NEUROMANCER, there was no "cyberpunk". THE MATRIX is arguably the ultimate "cyberpunk" artifact. Or will be, if the sequels don't blow. I hope they don't, and somehow have a hunch they won't, but I'm glad I'm not the one who has to worry about it. "
William Gibson is also getting ready to start the tour for Pattern Recognition.
Of course there's no way he'll come to Vegas, literary wasteland that it is.
I should clarify that I didn't mean for Keanu read it for the Matrix mention, but for everything else.

Posted by: Da Goddess on January 30, 2003 11:33 AMHi, Joanie ;)
Posted by: krix on January 30, 2003 11:49 AMQuite interesting to read that Gibson relates the Matrix more woth Phillip K Dick than with Neuromancer. Surprised, too, that he took so long to watch it once, and again, only to keep on digesting the enormous amount of subliminal/alternate conceptions that the Wachovski bros have put in it.
Still, though, waiting for Neuromancer, the movie.
