My bud, Jena pointed out an auction on Yahoo.co.jp for some sweet Dogstar pictures.
While we still pine and wait for some shows here in the US, I've been debating whether or not I will take my camera to the next show I go to. I guess it depends on where the seats (if there is assigned seating) are. When I saw them here in Vegas in July, 2001 (my god! it's been TOO LONG) I was in the front row and chose not to take pictures.
I know, I know...but it's so much more enjoyable to just be there to enjoy the show. When you're that close, you really don't want to be looking at the band through a lens. Plus, I'm a crappy photographer anyway.
Best case scenario is two shows, back to back. One for fun and one for pics. I won't hold my breath, though....
dogstar rocks | from inside the mind of krix at February 04, 2003 02:20 PM .I just love all the pics that people take. I can never get to a show. They played here in fla like 4 months before I moved here. Argghh. They havent been back. So, I for one appreciate all the pictures that people take.
Posted by: kat on February 4, 2003 02:43 PMI know. I'm torn. Maybe I'll compromise and take a few at the very end. It's just so stressful, because usually cameras aren't allowed and you have to worry about getting bounced on top of the actual band members catching you. I always feel weird.
This of course all means NOTHING unless they actually play a gig that I can get to.
I'm still crossing my fingers and such.
i love all the pics, but would never try to take them myself. i'd just rather live it, enjoy the experience (like you said, krix) than spend the whole time concentrating on getting a good shot. and good lord, are they ever going to play for us again??
