Speaking of bands, this sort of sucks.
edited to add: "sort of sucks" just meant it looked like those of us that were waiting for news of a show or something would be waiting some more. It isn't good news, but it certainly didn't come off (to me, anyway) as heralding the demise of this band.

Someone at Club Keanu said this was their only chance to see Keanu in person, which is true for most of us. I hadn't even thought of that aspect of it, and then I was really bummed.

I do wish someone would give fans of Dogstar a little heads-up on the various projects of Rob and Bret. I'd totally make a road trip to see them.

I also read that Bret has been known to be a little resentful of the attention Keanu gets because it detracts from the music. The situation might have really hit home when they played right after filming stopped and 100 paparazzi showed up at the press conference. No offense to Rob and Bret, but lets face it, it wasn't because of the band. It will only get worse after Matrix opens.
Who knows?

I'm in the middle here, I still feel that it's a temp. break, not so much break as putting things on hold. On the other hand I fear it could be the beginning of the end. Hope I'm wrong. I had planned to try and see my first show next time they toured. Not to mention how bummed I feel for Keanu, he surely enjoys the band on his off time.

This *does* sorta suck! You're right, is not an 'end of the band statement', but it's not very good too. Either way it means no new tours (to Europe??? Boohoo) & no new material soon, so yes, it sucks!!!! My cats will be quite happy to hear this though... I'm not going to *tell* them, they'll be even more spoiled :-)

i hope they get back together again...i really wanna see them live (as i have yet to see them live) or at least to hear a new cd or sumthin....I hope they dont break up (though the story from the board sounds like the typical "i wanna explore other possiblitlies"-band break-up, that are usually supposed to be temporary, but not always....Let us hope for the best! :)
