This morning at work I'm suddenly getting an error when loading this page. Can someone help me?
I haven't posted or done anything different.
I'm using IE5.
Is anyone else suddenly getting this error?
It's driving me nuts.
I'm getting the same error on my rain cloud site. don't know what it is.
Posted by: kat on March 11, 2003 01:23 PMI can't help you but I hope it's nothing bad... At least your still able to post stuff. Things like that always completely freak me out, too. Isn't kd, who posts here sometimes a computer-wizz? Maybe she knows!
Posted by: Julie on March 11, 2003 01:26 PMShe's really busy these days. If not everyone is getting it, and I don't get it at home, it has something to do with my needing a browser upgrade here or something I guess.
Oh well, it gives me something to obsess over while I'm at the dentist today, which I'm leaving for RIGHT NOW.
eek.
Double EEK!
I had a terrible dentist-accident recently. Really terrible. It's all fine now, but I regret not living in the USA. If I had, I could have sued him for millions!
Posted by: Julie on March 11, 2003 02:45 PMI am so glad I didn't read that BEFORE I left.
Anyway, I don't get the error here at home so I', guessing it's a browser thing on my machine. I don't know why it spontaneously appeared, though.
Posted by: krix on March 11, 2003 04:08 PMit may not be you but the network your work machine is a part of. the firewall and/or internet settings are probably interfering with your access; possible the settings and/or firmware was updated. don't know where you work or what you do, but if there is a sympathetic systems admin around, they might let your IP through.
as a former MIS mgr who's escaped into academia, i always let my friends past the firewall; but enemies never got to blog .. they got rerouted to loser.com ;-)
thanks roxy.
I'm basically fucked then. I use AOHell as an ISP.
Maybe this will magically fix itself the same way it spontaneously appeared.
Posted by: krix on March 11, 2003 04:29 PMtry connecting to the internet via AOL, but use IE once you're connected (just open IE once AOL successfully connects - minimize, don't close). it's probably an AOL issue (aren't they all???) I'm assuming you are on windows - if not, let me know. I am a windows at work, mac at home, unix for fun kinda gal.
I've enjoyed your site over the past few weeks and am more than willing to help. Let me know how it goes. I've included my email if you want to send questions/problems to me directly.
you might want to wait until the drugs wear off tho' ;-)

Posted by: krix on March 11, 2003 06:05 PMMy blog hasn't been showing up on my work computer lately. I just get a basic "error" page. At home it pops right up.
