If I didn't have glass class tonight, I could be going to a showing of My Own Private Idaho at my local library .
Pooh.
it wahs | from inside the mind of krix at July 08, 2003 11:06 AM .YOU SHOULD GO!! IT'S FREE!!
Sorry to shout, you're making me vex....LOL
I never saw MOPI at the cinema - I've lead a deprived life.
Posted by: Keanuette on July 8, 2003 11:24 AMI saw it with Eric at the theater when it came out. I'm pretty sure we were high and laughed crazily at the Dutch Boy scene.
Sigh...good times.
I can't skip this class, though.
Posted by: krix on July 8, 2003 11:30 AMOh well - have a good class *mwa*
Posted by: Keanuette on July 8, 2003 11:41 AMEnriching one's own art life is more important than lining the pockets of greedy librarians who never seem to have the books one wishes most to read.
Put it in your Net Flix queue. It's definitely worth another viewing. Plus, ol' Gus, underrated genius that he is, probably gets a royalty off the rental. Lord knows he probably needs it.
However, for my money, Drugstore Cowboy is his finest, most accurate work. Then again, I was a junky and not a male hustler. I was just never that cute.
Interestingly enough, I feel that the shooting of Idaho was, in all likelihood, the beginning of the end for poor River Phoenix. It was on that set that he met elements of RHCP (especially Anthony... I don't think Flea was a party to this) and began his own affair with drugs and their corresponding subculture.
He really was going to be one of the greats, too.
Strangely enough, Samantha Mathis didn't respond to my offer(s) of condolance and a shoulder to cry on. Oh well, her loss.
Posted by: V. on July 8, 2003 11:46 AMUh - the viewing was free...
Posted by: Keanuette on July 8, 2003 01:12 PMThen again, you wouldn't want to make a fool of yourself and get drool all over the library books would you? You might clog up the Dewey Decimal System or something.
Go check on your glass thingy. I want to take a class like that. I bought a huge cobalt blue glass plate the other day, and I thought "I could maybe make this." See, Krix, you're inspiring us to expand our horizons. Like I need more stuff. LOL.
Posted by: Chianti on July 8, 2003 03:06 PMI was wondering why ya haven't mentioned that show on E! Celebrity Uncensored? Where Keanu is fighting with his little sista Kim & mom is there watching.
Posted by: Suo Gan on July 8, 2003 05:47 PMregarding that footage on e, it's really old but still adorable, such a sweet big bro that one.
can't wait to see how your bowl turns out.
but that would have been cool, to watch mopi as well, were they having a discussion group afterwards?
take care, don't cut your fingers!
