Club-Keanu reports the Keanu's May 10 taping of Inside the Actor's Studio has been cancelled due to Keanu's film obligations.
Drag.
I know a lot of people (including me) were looking forward to this.
Maybe now there's time to enroll in the Masters Program at the New School University to take advantage of this perk should he appear at a later date...
"Following the interview, students in the Actors Studio Drama School's M.F.A. program participate in a class with the guest."
Can you imagine?
"Today we're going to work on the trust excercise. I want you to cross your arms in front of your chest, close your eyes and fall backwards.KEANU REEVES WILL CATCH YOU."
(Ok, ok....I know that's like, Acting 101. Still sounds like fun....)

"For over eight years and more than 100 episodes, James Lipton has sat down with some of the world’s most accomplished actors and directors for penetrating, fascinating interviews. Lipton’s studious research and enlightened curiosity has inspired his guests to open up and confess their deepest thoughts about the art of acting. "
I want to hear Keanu's deepest thoughts about acting!!!!!
I too would love to sit in on (or at least enjoy on the tele) Keanu's Actor's Studio interview,
and hear those deepest thoughts about the art of acting.
Hopefully, Keanu's schedule will eventually indeed permit
such a wonderful interviewing op. (Of course, that means
I'll stay on watch for any schedule updates ...
in the event that Keanu will still grace us with
that interview we'd soooo love to savor!...)
:)
Yes it's been a while now since he's done an interview on tv, I hope that it's just kind of postponed and not cancelled completely
Posted by: Cornflakes on April 27, 2004 08:52 PMDid you get my reply Krixy? (REALLY sorry to keep having to go off topic, but I think I might be spamblocked from some people's e-mail)
Posted by: Mikey2 on April 27, 2004 10:43 PMargh! I was really, really looking forward to this... Hopefully another time. Or maybe he will sub for someone else who has to drop out later in the season, when he's finished with A Scanner Darkly (which is taking me forever to read, because it's so oppressive/depressing I can only take about an hour at a time...)
Damn.
Posted by: bakednudel on April 28, 2004 02:35 AMDisappointing! That really sucks... audibly!!!
I was so looking forward to this being broadcast. I was figuring somewhere in June since Kate Winslet's aired in February. I was really looking forward to his acting and work ethic being saluted! Hearing all about his take on what has shaped him. Dean James Lipton fawning over his screen presence and great movies. It was gonna be fabulous...
*tears*
Posted by: Tawny on April 28, 2004 06:34 AMThis is not the way I wanted to start my day! :(
I'm "trusting" that at some point it will be re-scheduled.
AAARRRGGGHHH!!!
Posted by: Lisa on April 28, 2004 06:36 AMWell, I bawled even more when I heard about his last-minute replacement: Bette Midler.
I mean, WTF???
Posted by: Melissa on April 28, 2004 07:06 AMYeah Melissa WTF?! This is sad news. I hope it gets rescheduled. He would be more interesting than what has been the guest list to date. If they don't move on it Keanu, their loss!
Posted by: shelz on April 28, 2004 08:20 AMDamn! I was so looking forward to this. I really wanted to hear his favorite curse word. F*ck!
Posted by: JeniLyn on April 28, 2004 08:53 AMLesson? what lesson? I'd go beyond just trusting him if we ever did that falling excercise. :)
Who wouldn't trust "the one"? lol
Infact, i think that he would need to catch me... I'd probably faint!
