The official Constantine website has been updated with a new spooky flash intro.
constantine | from inside the mind of krix at May 28, 2004 02:01 PM .It is eerie...and very drawing at the same time...I like this addition.
Posted by: shelz on May 28, 2004 03:39 PMif onyl they didn't go with the green C...
Posted by: Rogan on May 28, 2004 04:15 PMI agree with Rogan, I was very unhappy with the green/black scheme...too Matrixy.
I was encouraged by the red...maybe they will bring it back?
After all there are many months yet to come...
i don't know how long i have before my computer crrashes again(it has been doing this for a couple of days now... more really...sorry for the intermittent activity...)
(( but...my first impression of the flash opening is that - i don't see a color for the heaven emblem... i see red being used as a symbol of hell, of course, and the green is the middle ground...(to me) being earth...the place where man is privy to walk... the Constantine picture is very golden and illuminated...which says to me that this is a man who weilds power comfortably...he's seems to be in an almost prayerful stance.... there is a definate square or quatrenary/balance in the lines around the photo and also some suggestive "horns" toward the bottom of the image... spooky indeed!! yikes!!!!
The stylized flash opening also k i n d of remindes me of the seal of solomon...

"The Arabs afterward gave the name of "Solomon's seal" to the six-pointed star-like figure (see Magen, Dawid) engraved on the bottom of their drinking-cups."
doesn't Constantine have a collection of glasses or cups?

...o no... the computer....!!!!
So, it‘s a smoke thing, that white stuff on the pix. Makes it better in the flash movie then on the picture. It‘s funny how the feed us every week with small pieces…
Posted by: creezy on May 28, 2004 10:32 PMIf what wanda says is true, they've used colours to represent worlds [heaven=white, hell=red, and earth=green], not unlike the Matrix [the matrix world=green, the real world=blue, the non-vision world=gold]. I imagine that the Matrix is not the ONLY film to use colour to distinguish between worlds. It seems to me there have been movies in which the dream state or the flashback state was in black and white, while the rest of the movie was in colour. Can't think of an example off hand though.
But it IS hard to NOT to think of the Matrix when you see that glowing green though. Actually, there are quite a few movies that use that glowing green, mainly sci-fi movies.
