Club-Keanu has some updated info on this weekend's Charity Event in Austin.
Don't hit the greens looking for Keanu, the gala on Saturday night, featuring a performance by Dennis Quaid's band is where you want to be.
I just *knew* he didn't play golf. *smiles*
Posted by: Zen on June 2, 2004 12:24 PMI'm SO with you on this Zen! *breaths a sigh of relief*
After 'the hat', I'm not sure if I could have dealt with the 'checkered pants' as well ;-)
I reckon becky should get up there and play. That would be awesome.
Posted by: Keanuette on June 2, 2004 01:36 PMAustin is a great place for live music, I bet he could have booked becky somewhere! But I'll settle for this party. :) Now I know what you ladies feel when you're about ready to see him in person.
Posted by: Chicks on June 2, 2004 01:58 PMmaybe i can work this one out... if my MOM will let me go... hahahahaahah....how far away IS Austin from Vegas???? hhhmmmm....))))
Posted by: wanda on June 2, 2004 01:59 PMEven though the two coolest golfers I can think of are Alice Cooper and Bill Murray, who wear whatever the hell they want on the links, I agree with you - Keanu would be in a quandry as to what to wear. I could see some pro shop guy trying to force him into plaid polyester pants - my brain just couldn't wrap around that one. Bravo to Keanu for showing his support by attending the party - here's hoping they can coax him up on stage.
Posted by: Chianti on June 2, 2004 02:08 PMthank god, I don‘t have to expect pictures of "golfing-keanu". Of course I feel a bit unhappy for the girl who wanted to be his ambitious ball(s)washer… ;-)
Posted by: creezy on June 2, 2004 11:38 PMI hope if we ever actually do see a "golfing-Keanu" that he wears what he wants to on the links...I'm sure he has much better taste than "plaid." LOL! I love to watch Alice Cooper golf...he is quite the golfer. I've never seen Bill Murray play.
Chicks...I hope you have a Great time! Did you get your plane ticket yet?
Posted by: shelz on June 3, 2004 06:41 AMI actually met Alice Cooper on a golf course in 1991 at a resort in Florida. He is a very nice man and a really good golfer. Golf is boring as hell, but it's addictive to some. IMO it may be due to the intersexual characteristics of the object of the game.
Posted by: Chianti on June 3, 2004 07:46 AMNo need for a plane ticket, I live one hour from Austin so I'm driving to my nephews house and from there he'll take over the driving and escorting duties. :)
Heck I'm glad he's not golfing either, I didn't look forward to the hot Texas sun, a night in an air conditioned club is MUCH better!! I hear lots of "mingling" goes on.
Chicks, make sure your nephew doesn't hang around too close - wouldn't want Keanu to think you're "attached"!!
Posted by: Chianti on June 3, 2004 10:11 AMHaha Chianti!! But he has to hold the camera if I meet Keanu and take pics!!
Posted by: Chicks on June 3, 2004 10:19 AM*woa* Chicks, lucky you! ask your nephew if he will wear a shirt from you. print on the a-side "i'm just the nephew of this attractive young lady!" on b-side your phonenumber and e-mail-addy could be helpful… ;-)
what would I give for a date on an a golf place with Alice Cooper? hell… that MUST be gorgious!
Posted by: creezy on June 3, 2004 11:39 AMoh and just in case, you will finally make it and hanging around with this guy, I guess you know whom I mean, at the bar until six o‘clock in the morning … please tell him we in europe (especially germany) love music and good rock shows, too … ;-)
have a great time there!
Posted by: creezy on June 3, 2004 11:42 AMChicks, I'm an hour from Austin as well, but alas! no nephew... Needs be I'm my own chauffeur and chaperone for that night. Hope to see you there.
Posted by: wallflower on June 3, 2004 08:44 PMHee hee...
I suck at big golf too! But I play a mean game of minigolf! Maybe it's because I am too playful for grown up golf. I have been kicked off a green, just once... For playing too much, too hard, too playfully! Spoil sports! I can't go into the details, I vowed not to talk about it... *sniff, sniff*
So good luck to Keanu if he plays, and it's okay if he doesn't... If he does play, try more beer... It will make the game less boring and feel shorter...
laughing...
