I just just want to clarify that the poster using the login "keanuvision" over at the Reeves Drive Forums is not me. It doesn't seem like their intent was malicious or anything, but I'd hate for there to be any misunderstanding.
Thanks to the person that called my attention to it.
update: It was an honest mistake, she didn't know and offered to change it. All is well and thanks.
the site | from inside the mind of krix at July 14, 2004 02:01 PM .There is no doubt that that isn't you. You know too much about him to come off as someone who just got hit by the Keanu bug.
But how odd that someone would grab this very unique name and use it as their own and not expect anyone to find out.
I say you get the name copyrighted and protect this unique piece of the net.
Well, seeing as there is a song on The Watcher Soundtrack with the same name that pre-dates the site I wouldn't have a leg to stand on. As long as there's no intent to confuse, I'm not that worried about it.
Posted by: krix on July 14, 2004 02:32 PMShows how much I pay attention to soundtracks. That too is kind of odd...lol
A song on a soundtrack for a movie but the song is not about the movie but about the star.
Meh.
Yeah, that is kind of wierd about the song being on the soundtrack when it had nothing to do with the movie. Krix, I propose you create a symbol to go by. You know, like Prince(oh, I am sorry, the artist FORMALLY known as Prince).
Posted by: Allison on July 14, 2004 03:01 PMIt seem more a score than a soundtrack to me & it has several titles that refer to the actors, actually.
1. Driven
2. Big for the Shrink
3. Keanuvision (btw this is only 28 second long!)
4. Grif Gets a Girl
5. Tracking a Honda
6. Turtle Luv
7. Face Down
8. Search Montage
9. Queen of Spaders
10. No Silence
11. In the Soup
12. Hunting a Griffin
13. Special Delivery
14. Package
15. Luv in an Elevator
16. Grif on the Go
17. Dis Go Dis Way
18. Crime Scene
19. Booty Hunt
20. Panty Raid
21. Hot Tomei-To
22. Put Away the Wet
23. "The Watcher" End Credits
24. Ghost Waltz
It's also great background music for sex.
Posted by: krix on July 14, 2004 03:09 PMYes...get a copyright Krix...otherwise someone may "steal" it.
Posted by: shelz on July 14, 2004 03:31 PMjust getting hit by the keanu bug.... i remember that for me... ah yes it seems like that day was yesterday to me, but I don't seem to be able to remember what came before that yesterday.
Posted by: cornflakes on July 14, 2004 04:13 PMunimportant yet lengthy trivia alert!!!! (here she goes again!) when i used to have a website hosting business, (now i dedicate all my available waking hours to making internet pictures(...) i used to host that site, reevesdrive, gratis, of course! that sus is really nice...(she sent me this great video of lots of keanu scenarios- signing autographs for hours, playing hockey, dogstar shows, that recently re-aired *heart* howard stern show- i watched that lots- it's in my memory) bout fell off her chair when i told her the site had about 3 million visitors a month! whoa!...although i have never posted anything ever on her forum....(krix's site was first place i ever ever wrote anything on - except for all those dogstar reviews i wrote that went up at reevesdrive))!
it gave me a warm feeling to know that each day, first thing, i would make sure reevesdrive was up and running!
i remember when she sent me this pic to do some grapics on for her...talk about totally hot! you know, tothot!!!! that pic, you all know the one with the diagonal background stripes, slightly tinted black and white 3\4 side view of profile/head shot - something about the eyes... i dubbed keanu the 'prefect pixel' - because i was looking at every little pixel and they were ALL perfect!!!! snazzy baby!!! in fact i think i had a date with that pic!!!! i swear he jumped right out of the monitor, knocked me back in my chair and checked out my ummm, shall we say, almost perfect pixels!!! oh yes!...
Posted by: wanda on July 14, 2004 05:13 PMMy apologies if I said anything that was wrong. I truly thought the name was original to Krix. I would never suggest getting a copyright for something that belongs to someone else.
Have a good night.
I don't think you did, Kat. I was just riffing, and it gave me a good excuse to post the keanuvision.mp3!
:)
I guess all you trivia buffs know this movie was orginally entitled "Driven" and is still listed as such in some of KR's movie cred sheets. I think there was a conflict at the time with the Stallone/Burt Reynolds bomb of the same name.
I had no idea there was a soundtrack; thanks for the info. Finally, a chance to mimic the devil dance.
I personally enjoyed Keanu being a "bad guy" for a change. He usually plays the good guy. I think he should do more films like THE WATCHER. He should also do more romantic comidies(although that genre is not his best.)
Posted by: Allison on July 15, 2004 09:52 AMWHAT 3 Million visitors? W o w. Ahhh, krix what says your logfile? What bank account? Where do we have to transfer our donations?
And Wanda for the rest of this intimate view of your life: *lmao* Don‘t worry about having a date with a pix, men does have those every month (and I guess the same visions about a pixel-check up) when the Playboy comes out! It‘s just normal!
Posted by: creezy on July 15, 2004 12:31 PMHey, I'm just a fan. I love your work. Would you consider playing a brain surgeon who deals with a murder for hire outfit and the CIA? just asking. Oh, yeah, watch out for those guys from Detroit. Stay cool.
